I was never very ‘arty’ and I disliked art classes at school so much that I was known to feign the odd surprise illness to get out of them.

But as an adult I’ve experimented with various different ways of making art, and enjoyed it. I’ve even dabbled with professional photography (when I say dabbled, I mean I was really an amateur who was lucky to get paid for her work a few times).

A while back I wanted to incorporate words and writing, so I tried calligraphy and hand lettering. At the moment I’m working on an idea that combines calligraphy and writing in a visual way.
